Fabricio Cassán

Microbiologist and PhD in Biological Sciences from the National University of Río Cuarto [UNRC]. Adjunct Professor in the area of ​​Plant Physiology and Principal Investigator at the Institute of Agrobiotechnology [INIAB] of CONICET.

 

Dr. Cassán has nearly 30 years of experience studying plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria and their impact on agriculture. He has published over 100 scientific articles in his field and led numerous research projects, both in Argentina and in collaboration with researchers from Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Canada, the USA, and Belgium, where he completed part of his postdoctoral specialization. He has coordinated the Inoculant Quality Control Network [REDCAI], served on the Bio-inputs Advisory Committee [CABUA] of the Argentine Ministry of Agriculture, and was a member of the Ibero-American Biofertilizers Network [RedBIOFAG]. He has also served as an advisor to the IAEA for the Ministries of Agriculture of Chile and Costa Rica, as well as to the EU. He is an Honorary Member of the Argentine Chamber of Bio-inputs [CABIO] and Director of the Diploma Program in Agricultural Bio-inputs at the National University of Río Cuarto (UNRC). Currently, he leads a research group at UNRC focused on developing biotechnological alternatives for agriculture.
